Taking a behavioral science and human-centered approach to improving health.
The Lifestyles Lab is led by Dr. Roberto M. Benzo, a behavioral scientist and Assistant Professor in the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control at The Ohio State University.
Our interdisciplinary team brings together expertise in behavioral science, human-centered design, and digital health technology to understand how people engage in healthy behaviors—and how digital tools can support those behaviors in everyday life.

We use human-centered design to co-create evidence-based interventions that help people move more, eat better, and manage stress.
Our work is grounded in behavioral theory and guided by empathy—ensuring that every tool we develop is practical, inclusive, and designed for real-world impact.
Collaborate With Us
We welcome collaborations with clinicians, behavioral scientists, designers, and students interested in digital health, lifestyle medicine, and cancer prevention.
The Lifestyles Lab partners with academic institutions, healthcare systems, and technology teams to create scalable, evidence-based digital tools for health promotion and survivorship care.
